It's a Catnip Party!

Catnip grows wild in patches here and there and when I catch it in bloom, I pick the buds for my furry little drug addicts. Red, naturally, keeps his cool even when keeping Purrmeister in line. Purrmeister, on the other hand, really gets carried away. Out of view of my iPhone camera, he tackled poor Mariah (who he now outweighs times two.) Note the clumps of fur on the rag rug? Uh huh, looks like some serious smacking going on. It was a wild party and a good time was had by all!

You're fortunate to have catnip plants growing in the garden! We'd like to do the same, but we don't have a garden to work with, just a balcony.

Now that would be my kind of salad!

We have some wild plants coming up all over our garden too. YUM! Hobbes isn't into it as much as Grace is--isn't that odd?

Two of my three cats are disinterested in catnip but Rocky turns into a wild beast...or a wildebeast? MOL. He definitely gets amped up. I tried to grow some outdoors this year and he mowed it down before it could grow big enough.

Our four inside kitties go bonkers over the nip. The two outsiders couldn't care less about it. I'm thinking they got too much in their younger days and lost the taste for it.

The inside nip parties CAN get a mite wild for sure.

Y'all come see us again sometimes. We likes visits.
