So who is boss around here? Well, this was Dakota's new bed (Dakota is the American Eskimo dog that shares the house.) She happily used it all summer, while we stayed in the camper that is. Now, installed at the house in front of the big glass sliding door, it's been, um, permanently borrowed by Mariah and Red.
Dakota's a pretty good sport. She has a different bed in the kitchen that she likes OK. Not quite as fancy as the new one, but it will have to do....

I take over whatever I want for a bed at the time!
You both look far too comfy to be disturbed. We think you should stay there :)xx
You snooze (or don't snooze!), you lose!
Mmmm....delicously cozy!
Cats rule
Well, isn't that how it always goes? I mean, after all, comfy beds are for cats, as far as they're concerned. Anyway, that's how it goes in my house. But, if one of the dogs wants one of the beds where the cats are lying, they just lay on them which clears the bed really fast of cats.
I'm beginning to notice there's a sort of schedule for when Dakota does get a turn on her bed--when the cats decide it's time to pile on MY bed, well, then the coast is clear for the dog to use HER bed, sigh. I guess they are taking turns, sort of?
HAH! Cats rule; dogs drool!
My mom had American Eskimo dogs, they are great dogs. Of course, you cats rule the house right ;)
Great beds and so happy that you all can share them.
Thanks so much for your kind words when Opus, my sweet nephew, had to be helped to the bridge last week. It meant a lot to me and my family to hear from you.
The kitties look so comfortable that Dakota never had a chance, huh? Glad she's a good sport.

Clearly, you two have a lot in common with our cat, Bella, who always steels my bed!
I have three cats and 2 dogs. My one cat Dusty rules. She sleep where ever she wants. If the other cats get on the dogs bed ,the dogs cash them off. If Dusty is on their beds they walk away. She even has us trained. She will torment me till I move over so she can sleep by my side. Her favorite spot. My husband calls her my protected. Because she always stay by me all night.
"The Red Cat Society" has been included in this weeks A Sunday Drive. I hope this helps to attract even more new visitors here.
