Cat Giveaway Next Week!
Well, not really.
I received this email tonight:
Hi Ducky Lady,
Here's a picture of our sisfur Furzilla (Joya Amabella) who has red spots and stripey places. If there is going to be any prizes for the Red Cat Society we would like to suggest that you give Furzilla away, maybe as the 10th place prize. We would be happy to pay for the shipping.
Sincerely,
Ozark Mountain Cats
Sorry, Ozark Mtn. Cats, we aren't doing a cat giveaway this week, but it is a great idea. Although we may just put the Post Office over the edge if we all start shipping tubby cats all over the U.S.
We'll be emailing your invitation to join us, Furzilla. Okay, so you aren't all over orange, but you got that red cat spunk that we are looking for here. Join us, won't you?
P.S. I love your ottoman look.

My best human
Now that we have seen so many really cute kitten-pictures of Hobbes and Sherpa, I really wish Anna would hurry up and post som pics of me when I was a kitten. But she has to "scan" them first, she says. I wasn't born in the "Digital Age". But here is a photo of me and the two-legged male person who rescued me as a kitten of unknown age, from under the roof of a root-celler were my two sisters and I were trapped and abandonned after our mother never returned to fetch and move us. He heard my screams and yowls and removed several roof tiles in order to dig me out and save me from dying of starvation. We have been very close ever since.
Purrs,
Calle

Baby Sherpa
This is my little, tiny kitten Sherpa.
My husband surprised me with him after the loss of my Fred.
I had always wanted and orange cat but had never had one.
My hubby went to the shelter especially to find me an orange cat.
Sherpa is now 8 months old and I will show more photos later.
But he was such a sweet little guy when he came home.
Just look at that face!

Welcome, Red!
Ooooh, look at our newest member at the Red Cat Society--Red. Geesh, he's a lovely (handsome?) cat. He comes to us by Karen over at Will Oaks Studios, where she typically features her incredible jewelry and photography as well as her kitties.
Red got news late last night of the Red Cat Society and you can see how happy he was to be included. He immediately went to work preening for his shot!

And this spot is just right.....

Welcome to the Red Cat Society!
My name is Calle Cat and thanks to my two-legged mommy, Christina Wigren ("Anna" of Anna's Adornments) and her blogging friend, Lin (of Duck and Wheel with String) all red cats have a place to blog!
Why red cats? Well, we like all kinds of cats in all shapes and colors, but we thought it might be fun to blog about being red, yellow, orange or ginger. Here's my blog-partner Hobbes:
The black cats have a very nice club-blog called the "Tuxedo Gang". So we thought we would start our own blog for cats that look like Lin's Hobbes or me, Calle Cat!
